- The Spanish title, Mi Portera en Madrid 1933, appears in the artist's hand in pencil on at least one impression, l.l. (See Fig.1 below.)
- The only known impressions bearing titles in the artist's hand for Madrid Series prints are in the Hemingway Collection and carry their titles l.l. where the numbering normally appears.
- The BNE and Pierre Matisse Gallery catalogues use the title "Madre" ("Mother").
- The English version of Quintanilla's title, "My Concierge [or] Housekeeper in Madrid in 1933", is our translation and doesn't appear on any observed impression.
- The reading of the date as part of the title may or may not be the intention of the artist, in which case he would be signifying when this figure was his housekeeper instead of when he created the print. However, it should be noted, Quintanilla has placed a date after a title in other cases (See Cafetería en Lloret de Mar .), and this may or may not be the case here. Therefore, this catalogue lists the date as "c. 1933."

****Edition:
- The BNE catalogue states, "n° 1 de 8 preubas" (number 1 of 8 proofs) l.l, just below the plate mark.
- Ruperez typically printed ten or fewer (most commonly 7-10) of Quintanilla's Madrid Series prints, often including at least one unnumbered impression outside the edition.
- The Hemingway Collection typically includes one unnumbered impression bearing a title instead of the number, l.l. (See Fig. 1 above.)
